It is … complicated, a bit 🙂

If you landed here to find out what is going on with this site and to learn something about us, I mean those guys who are messing around than well, it is after 11 year still work in progress. It happened that we wanted to have site online as soon as possible and than work on the life site. It worked for a bit. But then we left it for some time. There was search and reservations feature available, powered by Expedia. But this has been changed so much that we were not able to work on it anymore. 

Then we added SkyScanner and Cheap Flights. The SkyScanner had very nice map type, flight booking app. However, for some reason they have decommissioned it at some point.

Now, maybe after 5 or 6 years I came back to this site to give it new life and also re-write this about us page. This year, that is 2020 in March I have started riding my first ever motorcycle, Honda CB125F. My thinking went to making changes to the website and its purpose. It is about travelling, it can have facilities to book holidays but most importantly I want it to be more of a guide and help to other riders.

My first bigger trip was to York for additional training. I considered it important to learn how to better control a bike. How to be a better and safer rider and this course gave me this extra confidence. Of course, any other forms of training, practicing and improving skills such as slow riding is a key. Ability to stay up right without wobbling or stopping at 2 mil/h becomes invaluable in heavy traffic.

Then I went for a riding holiday to Cornwall. At that time, I did not come across any single website where I could get ideas for the routes to take, places to visit and stop. So, it took me good three to four weeks researching and map checking. Booking B&Bs and attractions on the way, plotting routes and saving them for future use. It wasn’t easy but very rewarding. When I got back, I knew that it was the best holiday I have ever had.

Have you heard of Bike Safe? I did that too. Very interesting and inspiring one day event with local police, It is highly recommend by many, myself including.

This is why I decided to make those changes to the website make it more of a guide, rather then a holiday booking one. We have nice plans for the next season, situation allowing, and I want to share my experiences, discoveries and routes I took. To give inspiration, to help with planning or point to places worthwhile visiting. And most importantly, for all of us – to have fun 🙂
